KY 0018  Blennerville Windmill, Co Kerry This windmill dates back to the 1840's and still in working order today!, In fact it is in the Guinness Book Of Records as the Largest working windmill Ireland and visitors are guided by the Miller who shows them each element of flour making....Within the Windmills grounds is a Visitor Centre with a new exhibition and audio-visual presentation on Blennerville's history during the Great Famine in 1845-1849 were the town was the main port of emigration from Kerry. There is also a train link to Tralee from Blennerville on the historic Tralee & Dingle Steam Railway which departs from Blennerville every half-hour APRIL TO OCTOBER...Well worth a visit.
